There are many places in France which transport you back decades, if not centuries. None more so than the tiny hamelet of St Urlo, with its cluster of cottages and a mediaeval chapel and “fontaine”.
I’d strongly advise arriving here on foot. GR38 (one of France’s long distance footpaths) runs right through the middle of the hamlet. There are walks from Le Faouët or Lanvenegen.
